Not every photo is suitable for engraving. The following characteristics are important:
1. Light and sharpness
The photo should be well exposed and sharp.
2. Size
After cropping the photo should minimum 100KB and 800×1000 pixels to be large. If the (cropped) image on 100% is still sharp, the photo is suitable.
Please note: always send the original photo This can be digital, but analog (paper photo/negative) is also acceptable. Photos taken with WhatsApp (or another app) are usually downgraded, which may mean they fall below the minimum size.
Make sure the person in the photo is not too far away. The more in close-up the person is, close-up is, the more details will be visible in the engraved portrait. If you wish and the photo is large enough, the photo will be cropped to close-up to get.
The photos below show a suitable and an unsuitable photo. You don't have to send a black-and-white photo, of course. Color is also acceptable.
